Land Acknowledgment: Pioneers Go East Collective pays respect to the Lenape ancestors past, present, and future. We acknowledge that the work of Pioneers Go East Collective is situated on the Lenape island of Manhanhtaan and more broadly in Lenapehoking, the Lenape homeland.

Inclusivity and Diversity Acknowledgement: We collectively acknowledge that our arts community must itself be just, equitable, and inclusive to meaningfully contribute to social progress and envisions a community wherein power, funding, opportunities, conduct, and impacts are fair for all artists, cultural workers, and audiences. We collectively amplify the voices and autonomy of the African, Latina/o/x, Asian, Arab, and Native American (ALAANA) community.

Our core principles:

Social Engagement – An artists-driven and led organization, we connect BIPOC and immigrant artists, curators, audiences, and participants and engage with the broader community and the general public.

Collaboration We collaborate with arts and cultural organizations deeply rooted in their communities to help shape projects culturally sensitive to those communities.

Accessibility Our Creative Engagement Programs are welcoming to all. Free or low-cost (on a sliding scale) and accessible to the general public.

Relevance Our projects address ideas and issues relevant to the artists and communities involved and are designed to engage with the community.
